In 1976 E.H. Butland  Corp. began in the real estate development business constructing single family tract houses, condominiums, apartments and commercial/retail centers. In 1981, EHBC entered the medical construction industry and completed several diagnostic imaging projects at various hospitals and clinics throughout Southern California. In 1983, EHBC expanded into acute care hospital facility renovation and additions. In the mid-eighties, EHBC specialized in outpatient imaging centers and outpatient surgery centers. In addition to these types of projects, the nineties brought expansion into convalescent, skilled nursing and assisted living projects.
